190 Skilled Nominated visa

You can apply for this visa when you are in Australia (onshore) or outside Australia (offshore). This visa is a combination of previous subclass 176 visa and subclass 886 visa. This is a permanent residency visa.

Different with Subclass 189 visa, Subclass 190 visa requires you to have a state government sponsorship. The successful visa applicant will need to live in the state for two years before relocating to other states.

You must have:

• nominated an occupation that is on the relevant skilled occupation list

• obtained a suitable skills assessment for that occupation

• not yet turned 50 years of age

• achieved the score specified in your letter of invitation based on the factors in the points test (usually 55)

• at least competent English (IELTS score 6 in listening, reading, speaking and writing)

• been nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency.
